Aleqtisady is an independent Egyptian digital news platform. We write because news is a right, and because the reader deserves a clear truth and accurate information. We verify before publishing, distinguish between news and opinion, and correct openly when we err.

The site was founded and is managed by journalist Mohamed Shalaby as an independent journalistic initiative aimed at providing a professional model that respects the reader's intellect, away from the noise of propaganda.

Why "Aleqtisady"? Because we believe that journalism is neither propaganda nor emotion. Journalism is a profession that starts with a simple question: Is this information correct? Then a more important question: What does it mean to people? For us, the name "Aleqtisady" (The Center/The Medium) is not a grey stance, but a scale: we report facts as they are, place them in context, and avoid bias as much as possible.
