Dubai Police calls to avoid speeds and caution in rainy weather

The General Administration of Traffic in the Emirates announced today, in a statement issued by the spokesperson, that there is no speedy driving and also not being busy without the road in bad weather situations sweeping the country from time to time.

As Brigadier Saif Muheir Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Traffic Department in Dubai Police, called on all road users to be careful and wary of the weather conditions, as well as not to go out except in cases of necessity to avoid accidents.

This is due to the low visibility due to heavy rains and wind blows, confirming that driving with caution and attention, or driving slowly or stopping the vehicle outside the road precincts and safely, are all matters that help drivers in avoiding accidents.

From a plot, Brigadier Saif Al Mazrouei said that the emirate’s traffic in Dubai has intensified the field presence of traffic patrols in the emirate’s streets to manage traffic, which has been somewhat slow due to the gathering of water in a number of areas and the heavy rainfall.

He also indicated that the patrols have closed a number of lanes in a number of streets, as well as traffic has been diverted to alternative roads, in addition to that it has secured vehicles that have been hit by traffic accidents, which have broken down on the road.

Colonel Turki bin Faris, director of the command and control center in the General Operations Department, said that the center received 4,581 calls from 12 midnight yesterday to 10 in the morning, and 154 traffic accidents were recorded.

From here, Colonel Turki bin Faris appealed to all drivers and road users to be careful, careful and alert when weather fluctuations, drive vehicles calmly and cautiously, and avoid speed due to the country's exposure to heavy rains and winds, which could lead to loss of control of the vehicle and accidents.
