The UAE Ministry of Education has approved the mechanisms and controls for the payment of tuition fees for the children of "expatriates", Arab residents working within its cadres, by exempting them from tuition fees.
In a circular issued by the ministry, it recognized their entitlement to tuition fees for two children, "education allowance" according to two tracks.
The first track is exemption in the case of studying in a public school, or the payment of the allowance, "cash", in the case of study in private schools;
The Ministry confirmed that the exemption of two children studying in public schools from the tuition fees, provided that there are no children in private schools paid by the ministry, provided that the guardian is paid a maximum of ten thousand dirhams for each son of his sons (2) studying in private schools If two of his children are not exempted in public schools.
The Ministry stressed the importance of preventing duplication of exchange between the spouses, meaning that if they are contract holders (a), tuition fees are paid to one of them, and if one is the owner of the contract (a) and the other is the owner of the contract (b), the payment is made to the contract holder (a) .
According to the ministry, if the teacher has more than two of his children in public schools, two of them are exempted from paying the fees, and he must pay the prescribed fees of AED 6000 for each son, provided that the payment receipt is attached with the declaration.
In the event that one of his exempted children leaves school or finishes his secondary education, he shall be replaced by one of the other sons in the exemption. In all cases, the teacher shall be entitled to exempt only two of his sons from public schools.
The Ministry stressed that the guardian must record the declaration attached to the circular, the names of all his children who are studying in public or private schools, and specify the names of his children to whom the Ministry pays tuition fees, whether in private schools, or the two exempted from payment. If they are studying in public schools.
A copy of the declaration shall be kept in the school file of the teacher and the files of his / her children in all the public schools concerned. The original declaration and the attachments shall be submitted to the Student Affairs Section of the Educational Council of the School Operations Sector.
The employee is entitled to exemption for two of his children who are studying in public schools. Moreover, the guardian pays the prescribed fees for each additional son. The receipt must be attached with the declaration.
The Ministry pointed out that the holders of contracts (B) are given tuition fees, amounting to 6000 dirhams for each son, up to a maximum of two children, studying in private schools, in the event that two of his sons are not exempted in public schools.
The ministry identified two cases in which the teacher deserves exemption from tuition fees for two of her children studying in public schools, the first if she is a widow and supports these children under a certificate of maintenance, issued by a Sharia court in the state, in addition to a copy of the death certificate.
The second case, if the husband is unable to work and earn, according to a medical report approved by the competent medical committee, in addition to a certificate of maintenance, and also deserves an alternative to public schools, the payment of tuition fees of 6000 dirhams for each son, and a maximum of two, if they study Private schools, whenever they are one of the two previous cases.
The Ministry stressed the importance of sending the original declaration of the teacher with the required attachments, the declaration of the employees of the Ministry of Education, a copy of the employment contract, a copy of the declaration of the social status of the employee, showing the number of children, and a certificate of continuing study, for each student, a copy of the documents related to the payment of fees.
For Arab expatriates working in other federal institutions, a full tuition fee of AED 6000 per son is accrued by sending a letter to the interested party regarding the settlement of the amount with the Ministry of Education represented in the first school operations sector.
