The Department of Transport in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has announced a new tariff for individuals, through which it can register in the new system, in addition to the vehicle on the website of the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi.
Motorists across the UAE can now register at Abu Dhabi's traffic gates, which were implemented in mid-October.
The Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Center has set up a website that allows motorists to create an account by providing details of the Emirates ID card, vehicle license plate details, mobile phone and e-mail.The site is also a dedicated site with all the information related to the upcoming fee system in the capital.
Registration in the new traffic tariff gates in Abu Dhabi
Registration is required only for vehicles licensed outside Abu Dhabi. When trying to sign up for a vehicle registered in Abu Dhabi, the website informs the user that the owners of Abu Dhabi vehicles will have an account created for them automatically.
Prior to activating Toll, an SMS with login details will be sent to their mobile phone number, as registered with Abu Dhabi Police. These users must only register any vehicles they own outside Abu Dhabi.
Road charges will be collected from October when motorists cross any of the four bridges connecting Abu Dhabi Island to the mainland, including Al Maqta Bridge, Mussafah Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge and Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
How to create a traffic tariff account
Motorists will also be charged a fee of AED 4 for crossing gates during peak hours between Saturday and Thursday, while the figure will be reduced to AED 2 for each pass during off-peak hours on Fridays and public holidays. The daily maximum amount will be set at AED 16 per vehicle.
First, log in to the site from here, and click on the Abu Dhabi Gate System link on the left dashboard. You will be guided to complete the site registration process.
Irregularities on the new tariff
Vehicles registered in Abu Dhabi will be created automatically and login details will be sent to the owner of the vehicle on the mobile number registered with the Abu Dhabi Police.
For vehicles registered outside Abu Dhabi, create an account on a dedicated website by providing UAE identity details, license plate details, email and mobile phone number.
